Edward Deanes was born in 1840, he was a portrait and figure painter. His paintings are of charming subjects, painted with immense charm and in fine detail, his work is not often on the market.

 

Deanes  address  was in St. Johns Wood Road, London. N.W.

 

Deanes was a member of the 'St. Johns Wood Clique' - School, which was headed by Philip Hermogenes Calderon R.A. (1833 -1898).

 

Edward Deanes was a friend of the artist; Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828-1882).

 

Deanes exhibited 12 paintings at the  London - Royal Academy, he also exhibited at the Royal Hibernian Academy,  The Royal Miniature Society, and at many other exhibitions.
